About:
Political science has gradually evolved into a discipline which encompasses a study of not only domestic but also international politics. Since the inception of an inter-disciplinary approach in academics, the study of domestic politics is no longer confined to internal boundaries of a nation. A study political science has to take into consideration a country’s relation with other nations and the development taking place in other parts of the world. This makes the subject a very interesting fields of study and offers the student many academic challenges. There are a vast range of career opportunities and intellectual avenues open to a student of political science.

- Academic:
An academic condition of the department is very good but, the numbers of faculty is not sufficient.
- Students’ enrolment:
Sufficient numbers of students are enrolled.
- Infrastructure:
Infra-structure facilities are good. But there may be a lot of improvements for Infra-structural facilities.

- Departmental Library:
Yes, Departmental Library is enriched with a Book-bank with near about 300 nos. of books.
- ICT Facility:
Teaching aids viz. audio-visual equipments’ like Computer, Projector, Internet facility etc. are available.
WEAKNESS:
Infra-structural facilities are not sufficient but, we hope it may resolve very shortly.
OPPORTUNITY:
There are so many opportunities for the strengthening of the department providing special courses from eminent visiting professor as well as vide field study etc.
CHALLENGES:
i)To attract better quality students.
- ii) Lack of specialized faculty members.
iii) To improve students’ performance in the course.

- Field study is made compulsory for all Major students.
